- Gurus Have Final Say Over Their Species. Each species has a Guru over that species. A Guru is a Staff member who's specialty is that species. When you have questions about the species you have chosen, you should only contact that Staff member that is the Guru over your species. (Unless otherwise noted.) You can find which Staff member is the Guru over each species within the species information.
If you contact another Staff member about a species that they are not the Guru over, you will be directed back to the original Staff member who is the Guru. Don't want to deal with that Staff member? Pick a different species. - Post applications on your OOC Account. For the sake of keeping track of who is who, and keeping us sane, we require that you post your application on your OOC Account instead of the actual character account.
Please remember to do this as we do not want to have to move an application to archives before its time limit is up for failure to follow the rules, but we will if our messages to re-post the application are ignored. - W.I.P. applications have an expiration date. The expiration date of a W.I.P. application is thirty (30) days. This is to keep the applications from sitting there getting stale, and clogging up the board.
Make sure that when posting a W.I.P., you put 'WIP' or something along those lines in the title bar along with the character name so that we know that the application is not finished and ready for our perusal. - Applications should have the character name as the subject. Easy enough to understand, right? Make sure to use capitalizations, and use the First, Middle, and Last name if applicable.
You may also note what species the character is, and what ranking if you'd like to let potential other appees know. - Face Claims. Face claims go hand in hand with the application, and should be posted either prior to posting a W.I.P, or during the application process so that other members know that the celebrity chosen is intended for another applicant.
If a face claim is not posted prior to the application being accepted and another member posts the claim on that celebrity and their application is accepted, we will have to give the face claim to the other member. So please be sure to post your claim! - Other application information. You will find that some species have certain requirements that others may not for the application process. You can find these requirements posted in the species you have chosen's information thread. We have our reasons for having a different application process for each species, a lot of it having to do with the level of difficulty of the species.
If you feel that you simply cannot abide by the requirements, then it would be in your best interest to choose a less involved species as we will not waive the requirements for the application process.
We will help you as much as possible, but when it comes down to it, we will not write your application for you.
The Staff of Guilty Misdemeanors reserves the right to alter, change,
remove, and/or add to the rules at any point in time. We will always
inform the site via PM or Update thread of any changes, failure to know
these changes is not an option.
